Fennec Fox: Cuteness Overload

Let’s hear it for the smallest, and potentially cutest fox! #socuteIcoulddie

Aside from cuteness, what has this furball got to offer? Their adorably huge ears help them radiate heat and stay cool in the desert. They also have thick hair that keeps them warm at night and helps to protect them from the sun in the day. These itty bitty foxes are dressed for the weather no matter what’s coming their way— except an arctic front maybe? In case you were worried their little paws might get scorched by the sand, don’t worry, they have super furry toe-beans that protect them.

Are you a rom-com sap? The fennec fox is for you! These delightful fluff-muffins mate for life and stay with their litter of pups for up to a year. #adorbz

It turns out the fennec fox is relatively elusive and scientists discovered most of their habits from observing them in captivity. These cuteness-nuggets groups of up to 10 foxes. These desert dwelling tater-tots are super playful (like many of fox family). Next time you need a fun friend for a night out, call up your neighborly fennec fox and go crazy!

Thirsty? Not the fennec fox! They have adapted to living without free-standing water—no nalgenes for these Q-T’s. Instead, they get water from leaves, roots, fruits and even condensation on the walls of their underground dens.

Anywho, I hope these nocturnal darlings probably just melted your heart.
